Mareen is a multidisciplinary brand rooted in a respect for craft, community, and the inherent intelligence of natural materials. At its core is a commitment to slowing down — to honour the rhythms of handwork, the stories of artisans, and the intention behind each piece.

Founded by designer Sharmeen Attarwala, Mareen began with a desire to reconnect with age-old traditions of making. Drawing from her Indian heritage and shaped by a global design perspective, she set out to build something deliberate — a brand that values process over pace, collaboration over trend.

Every piece begins with a conversation — with weavers, dyers, and craftspeople who carry generations of knowledge. We work closely with artisan communities across India to ensure every step reflects care, respect, and reciprocity. Grounded in the principles of slow fashion, Mareen follows the idea of “just enough.” We design with purpose, produce in small batches, and prioritise pre-orders to avoid waste and overproduction. Natural fibres and low-impact processes are central to our approach, with space to evolve, experiment, and adapt as we grow.
